Kevin Green with Midtown Alliance, a non profit organization of business and community leaders dedicated to building a vibrant urban experience in the heart of Atlanta, was the speaker at a recent Midtown Real Professionals Mastermind Meeting and reported on the thriving market. Midtown Alliance is guided by Blueprint Midtown and works in partnership with the Midtown Improvement District. Since 2000 there has been $4B in new investment and over $400M in public and private funding for improvement for streetscapes and bridges. In the same time period, residential units and retail space have more than doubled and commercial property space has nearly tripled in this 1 square mile area between Buckhead and downtown Atlanta where commercial property value has jumped 22%. Even with 17 projects currently in development including 1.8 M square feet of office, Kevin suggests that 25% of land in Midtown is still ripe for development.
