Ritchie Harrison from the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy presented at the November Detroit Mastermind Meeting. He describes his work as adding value to the 5.5 miles of downtown waterfront from a human standpoint while at the same time maximizing the economic impact. Over $1 billion has been invested in ten years with spending by visitors at $43 million according to an economic impact study in 2013. Atwater beach is the newest project within the Conservancy’s strategic plan with construction slated to begin in 2018.
