Attendees of the November meeting of the Dallas Mastermind Group heard from guest speaker Jackson Drye of Hangar, a forward-thinking 14-month-old Austin-based tech startup. Hangar is building a platform that eventually will connect autonomous robotics of all different types. Currently, Hangar functions as a drone company with a national network of FAA-certified, vetted unmanned-drone pilots. Similar to Uber, Hangar clients who want to secure drone footage (including 360-degree panoramic views) of various areas can log on to an app and hire an independent pilot to carry out the mission. Clients in many industries including construction, real estate, and defense use the footage for marketing, education, project monitoring, and portfolio management.
