Guest Sara Snider, Urban Redevelopment Strategist, provided an overview of her efforts via Penn State to invest in the City of New Kensington, a former mill town on the banks of the Allegheny River, 18 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. Penn State opened an entrepreneurial center in the community earlier this year, and Snider said there’s momentum behind efforts to innovate there – the hope is to revitalize this community as a model for what can be accomplished as a result of leveraging ideas, investment, and commitment to change.
