RPN Chapter Cities Take Center Stage
The Northern New Jersey Group settled into its primary location in Dresdner Robins’ suburban office in Fairfield. Members and guests discussed a variety of topics related to the suburban office market, residential and mixed used properties across Northern New Jersey.

RPN President Rick Lackey provided a detailed snapshot of the dynamic growth and activities as well as challenges facing fellow real estate experts across the country. Each market has its own dynamics based on its industries, challenges and governmental regulations, although Industrial is white hot in many of the markets. Detroit is the newest addition and has grown back its automobile industry and created a vibrant downtown. Dallas, Miami and NYC are thriving and Philadelphia is primed for new growth with jobs, construction and population levels increasing. Weather and climate issues in Miami and other coastal cities have focused attention on sustainability related solutions, especially in the area of water management. A running theme through Rick’s presentation was the growth of the Millennial and “Smart People (Eds & Meds)” categories that are impacting residential and office sectors in many cities.
