RPN Raleigh Member Mark Ashness, Principal at CE Group, became involved with Deep River Forest project in 2005 and is getting ready to re-entitle the just under 1,500-acre project to mixed use; the property is 7-8 miles south of Pittsboro with a mile of frontage on the Deep River and abuts an industrial park being assembled in part by fellow RPN Raleigh Member Kirk Bradley of Lee-Moore Capital. The Deep River Forest entrance sits less than one mile from the US 1 Interchange. Ultimately, a very large master-planned community will be built on this property.
