Members and guests at Nashville’s October REAL Professionals meeting discussed how the growing shortage of Class A office space in Nashville is pushing up prices. Also, the lead-time in looking for space has increased from 12-18 months to two years or more. Often new space and older space coming open in highly desirable areas never even hit the market before being leased. The good news is that many of the new Class A office buildings are being built with more usable spaces, often requiring less square feet to house current employees and still have room for growth.
