Raleigh Mastermind Meeting Members Bubba Rawl and Tim Smith, Co-Owners of Preston Development Company, presented about their latest project, Chatham Park, a 7,000+ acre mixed-use community in Pittsboro, NC, being developed with a sustainable and innovative focus. Chatham Park plans to offer 27 unique home designs in 5 villages with 2,000+ acres dedicated to parks and open space and 50+ miles of walking and biking trails within the community and along the waterfront of Haw River and Jordan Lake. Chatham Park will house 22 million square feet of office, research, retail and community space.

The project’s unique innovations were highlighted with Tim stating an important amenity is high-speed Internet, adding every home will have 1 GB and every business, 10 GB. He also stated every residence and business will have electric car charging stations and be double-plumbed. Every building will include a unique art element, with existing MOBs having bio-retention basins and being LEED certified.
