REAL Chicago Members and guests kicked off the March meeting with discussion of some interesting initiatives that should be coming down the pipe from Illinois Governor Pritzker by this Spring, to include recreational cannabis and sports gaming. Attendees discussed how transformational these initiatives will be for the state and in particular Chicago. Most local codes are not written to deal with these types of land uses and the attendees discussed how collecting rent from these new types of land use may change.
