Members and guests of the South Carolina Mastermind Group were educated by Imma Nwobodu, Program Director from the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority (GCRA) on ‘Attainable Housing’. Fundamentally, the charge of the GCRA is to improve the living conditions of the county’s residents by building new homes, rehabilitating existing homes and improving the infrastructures within communities. GCRA has access to a variety of funds to help both developers pencil out affordable and attainable housing developments and home owners fund home purchases. With the rising costs of construction, developers are challenged to build workforce housing that is in heavy demand due to the increase in jobs in the region. GCRA is a resource for developers to get these projects built.
