Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Philadelphia Mastermind Group met virtually for their April meeting. Members and guests shared their unique perspectives on the crisis and how it has affected various aspects of the commercial real estate industry. They also had a chance to hear from guest speaker Anne Fadullon, who is the Director of Planning and Development for the City of Philadelphia. She discussed the uncharted territory which everyone has found themselves in and talked about some of the city’s bigger concerns related to the virus, the concepts around re-opening, and the decimated city budget. She discussed options for the city to alleviate their budget concerns, including hopes for more funding from the federal government. She also talked about the eCLIPSE system and the difficulties in the city’s ability to operate remotely, including struggles with holding mandatory public meetings under these conditions.
