The month’s second virtual meeting of the Northern New Jersey Mastermind Group brought together a vibrant cross section of members to compare progress and next steps as key real estate sectors weather the COVID crises and prepare for reopening.
• An examination of new approaches to the way we do business in NJ;
• Cyber security issues in the work-at-home environment model;
• How banks are serving NJ businesses with PPP and other loans;
• The forecast for re-opening the office, residential and construction sectors;
• The challenges for retail, restaurants and hospitality – plus new models of doing business to create and explore;
Guest speaker Lia Nielsen of Simply Sustainable LLP topped off the meeting with an encapsulated overview of the WELL standards certified by the U.S. Green Business Council. While LEEDs standards focus on systems and buildings, WELL is designed to promote the health and wellbeing of the people who work in buildings. It addresses ten specific categories: air, water, nourishment, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound materials, mind, and community. Lia’s presentation was a precursor to her appearance on a REAL cyber roundtable panel discussion scheduled for May 19th.
