Chris Nordling, Tom Lee, and Riki Hashimoto of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, and Jeff Hawks of ARA, A Newmark Company, shared a fascinating and engaging overview of Denver’s office, industrial, multihousing, and capital markets on Thursday. Among the highlights: Tom Lee shared stats on three of Denver’s office submarkets (Central Business District, Northwest, and Southeast Suburban). One of the submarkets coming on strong is RiNo, Lee said; Hawks agreed, but members questioned when amenities in River North will match office and residential growth. Overall, with regard to vacancies, Lee said there’s a lot more on the market than is available, but not yet vacant. “People are occupying space, but they haven’t yet made the decision to consolidate or move out,” he said.
