HB2 is creating apprehension in Charlotte’s office and industrial markets and construction lending is slowing multi-family development. But according to The Shopping Center Group’s Andy Misiaveg, retail is seemingly not impacted. Grocery & fast food retail is booming. There is continued demand for restaurant space with chains such as Chipotle and a lot of new players looking to open up in Charlotte downtown such as Lululemon and Sprouts.
