Jane Barkley, Senior Commercial Title Attorney of Investors Title Insurance Company reported that Lee County, NC may likely be the new hot place for residential development. Several residential developers are investing heavily in the county providing some evidence that Wake, Chatham and Orange counties may have priced some buyers out of the market. Additionally, senior housing continues its growth with new construction in Cumberland and Chatham counties.
Steve Melton, Central Carolina Insurance, pointed out that even as residential development is expanding in surrounding counties, Charlotte will continue to boom with hotels, urban towns and more commercial developments as Millennials move to downtown Charlotte. In spite of job growth setbacks earlier this year, Abbot Exchange has announced that it is bringing 600+ jobs into the Queen city.
