Malaika Rivers, Executive Director of the Cumberland Improvement District reports that the Cumberland CID is 6.5 square miles encompassing I-285 and I-75, the Galleria, the Performing Arts Center, the new Braves Stadium (“manna from heaven”) and Cumberland Mall which opened in 1973, entirely in Cobb County. The CID will realize $5B in private and public investments by 2018.
