Attorney Kevin McKeegan of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott discussed zoning legislation proposed for the City of Pittsburgh that will guide riverfront development and use. The proposal comes before the city’s Planning Commission this month for a recommendation and public comment with the Pittsburgh City Council possibly voting on the riverfront zoning ordinance by May.
There are more than 35 linear miles of riverfront in the City of Pittsburgh. The new zoning rules—replacing those adopted in 1999—will set the tone and the course for the way people work, live, and play along the rivers into the next several years.
