Mike Dvorscak with The William B. Hare Company believes interest in apartment sites will continue in Atlanta. A Haddow report on last year’s apartment activity shows that for stabilized projects year over year rents have increased 5% in the Atlanta market, a green light for developers.

According to a recent study, about 90 percent of the new apartment construction for last year in metro Atlanta fell into the “luxury” category, which is above the national average of 79 percent. The study indicates that 2018 may be an even bigger year, with about 87 percent of all large-scale apartment buildings constructed during the first half of this year falling into the “high-end” category.
