The Detroit Real Professionals welcomed guest David Haugk from Haugk Associates Insurance Agency, as well as new member Paul Hatcher of Oliver and Hatcher Construction.

The skilled labor shortage received a lot of attention again at this meeting. Carpenters, plumbers and electricians are still in high demand in the Detroit area. Rick Lackey shared that this problem is nationwide. Paul Hatcher shared that union memberships are shrinking as the average age for individuals in the skilled trades is trending ever upwards and many are approaching retirement age.
