REAL Chicago Members and Guests welcomed speaker Jillian Brown, Enterprise Account Director with Convene. Convene works with the world’s most prominent property owners to offer premium meeting and event spaces, flexible workspaces and hospitality amenities; all connected by their technology platform. Jillian discussed her role with Convene as it pertains to coworking. It is estimated that a whopping thirty percent of commercial real estate will be consumed by flexible work space by 2030.

Prior to the presentation, much discussion was focused on the new Cook County Assessor Kris Kaegi and the assessment of commercial properties. Specifically, the major increase along Chicago’s North Shore. The average increase is between 150 to 180 percent but going as high as 300 percent.
