At the July Mastermind meeting, The Michaels Organization was in the spotlight, with member Chris Earley sharing more about his work around affordable housing and the company’s deals from New Jersey to Richmond, as well as his observations of how areas east of the Anacostia are becoming more competitive for developers. Derek Ford of the Washington DC Economic Partnership walked attendees through the Partnership’s three annual publications and the development and demographic snapshots included therein. Other topics also included news of a local co-working industrial space, and the challenges and opportunities for both doing developments with churches, and doing business in Richmond, Virginia.
