The Atlanta Perimeter Mastermind Group had a great presentation from Eugene James with MetroStudy regarding the state of the residential real estate market in metro Atlanta. In Metro Atlanta, the single family detached market is down; the townhome market is exploding and expects to see it continue to grow; condos are just waking up here. Supply is low, so home prices are going up. The growth in the Atlanta real estate market is due to a good job market and the affordability of housing. The total number of people making higher incomes is increasing. The apartment market is doing well, too, because there’s not enough supply of single family detached homes for sale. 148 people move to the metro Atlanta area per day.
