Jim Durrett, President of the Buckhead Coalition gave an in-depth overview of the work that is underway to eventually bring the Buckhead Community Improvement District, the Buckhead Coalition, the Buckhead Business Association and Livable Buckhead under one umbrella. The missions of each individual organization will be maintained, but they will operate to advocate on behalf of the Buckhead community. There are many projects underway, including improving the streetscapes, ADA accessibility improvements, the PATH 400 trail and partnering with the Atlanta Police Department to discuss some of the issues that Buckhead is facing. They are also looking to broaden membership to increase diversity in age, race and gender.
