Chicago REAL Professionals welcomed speaker, Tom Hulseman of the Chicago Regional Growth Corporation – a relatively new organization that serves as the regional economic development organization that drives collaboration among public and private partners in order to generate inclusive growth and prosperity for northeastern Illinois business leaders and economic development partners. Their mission is to prioritize, align and manage the region’s economic development activities to increase competitiveness and improve access for communities serving as a unified voice for the dynamic, global northeastern Illinois economy.

Prior to the presentation, a variety of topics were discussed among the attendees and guests that impact the real estate arena. Everything from current trends on the east coast, the need for due diligence and environmental surveys to 1031 exchanges. Over 30 new connections were established amongst the guests during their roundtable discussions – one of the key benefits of becoming a REAL Professional member.
