As investor interest in Pittsburgh picks up, community-based groups can play a vital role in promoting sustainable development and working with the private sector. That was one message from Scott Wolovich, executive director of New Sun Rising, who spoke during the September meeting of the Pittsburgh Mastermind Group. New Sun Rising helps facilitate the conversation about what communities could look like when there’s opportunity for change. The group provides assistance, training and resources to help build “equitable, sustainable, and prosperous communities.”
