At the Dallas REAL Professionals meeting there were a wide variety of topics covered, but the group continued to circle back to the best way to recruit experienced and reliable employees. Social media is playing a bigger role these days when job recruiting but not everyone agreed that it’s helpful. With regards to LinkedIn, some felt that it can be a huge contributing factor to positive recruiting. However, others felt that LinkedIn was too “old school” and are not fans of how it is being used – not just for recruiting purposes, but for day to day use. Overall, everyone agreed that no matter what tools are used for recruiting, it has become much more competitive than it used to be when trying to find the right fit for your company.
