Chicago Mastermind Group Members and guests enjoyed a great presentation by Patrick Olerich of CohnReznick. Patrick shared information on Qualified Improvement Properties commonly referred to as QIP. What qualifies for a QIP as well as the pros and cons of applying for Bonus Appreciation whereby you can amend your tax return. Prior to Patrick’s presentation, a lively discussion was held that continued to focus on how COVID-19 continues to impact the various segments of the real estate community. The overall sentiment was to stay calm, carefully monitor revenue streams and not reinvent space until the post-COVID future is more defined.
