Guest speaker, Sue Mosey, Executive Director of Midtown Detroit Inc. shared an overview on the progress made and the new and exciting improvements yet to come in the area. Midtown Detroit is located along the east and west side of Woodward Avenue, north of downtown Detroit and south of the New Center Area.

MDI has shown an overall population increase of 17% since 2010, with the 25-34 year old age range showing the largest increase at 60%. The target is to increase residential units by 3,500 over the next five years. MDI is home to Wayne State University as well as many residential areas, offices, hotels, a cultural center and many small shops and fine eateries.
