Jessica Breaux of Tennessee Valley Authority spoke to Nashville REAL Professionals in December about their mission to aid in economic development within their service area. TVA’s economic development goals are to work to attract new companies and investment, aid business sustainability, and support communities preparing for economic growth. One of the tools they offer is TVAsites.com. It provides one of the world’s largest GIS-based property and building databases with maps, a searchable companies data base, and a business report generator. They also work with Chambers of Commerce and the state to develop enhancement packages that make business venture in the state more achievable.
