Meeting Champion: Josh Lonon with Wyche

Josh Lonon

regularly serves as lead counsel for national and regional companies, both public and private, local and statewide developers, and higher education institutions and other non-profits, in the acquisition, development, financing, sale, and leasing of commercial properties. Such properties are often industrial and manufacturing facilities and complexes and large multi-family, office, retail, and mixed used developments.

Josh also advises clients on, and regularly negotiates with and appears before municipal bodies to obtain, economic development tax incentives. These include fee-in-lieu of taxes arrangements, infrastructure tax credits, multi-county industrial and business park inclusions, tax abatements and rehabilitation tax credits for renovation of abandoned textile and historic properties. He also has experience with title insurance companies both as outside and inside counsel, giving him keen insight into solving complex title and title insurance issues.

Josh has served as Chair of the South Carolina Bar Real Estate Practices Section and as editor of the 2d edition of the South Carolina Commercial Real Estate Handbook. He is a former executive board member of the Upstate, South Carolina chapter of the Urban Land Institute and has chaired and held other leadership positions on several local government boards non-profits. He is a graduate of the South Carolina Bar Leadership Academy, Leadership Spartanburg, is a Regional Fellow of the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and has been included in the Pro Bono Honor Roll by the South Carolina Supreme Court for multiple years.

Josh is recognized by Chambers USA, Super LawyersBest LawyersSC Biz Magazine’s Real Estate Power List and Greenville Business Magazine’s Legal Elite of the Upstate, and is a recipient of the South Carolina Lawyers Weekly Leadership in Law Award.

Meeting Champion: Megan O'Neill with Wyche

Megan O’Neill is the Chair of Wyche’s Transactional Practice Group. She regularly represents clients in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, development, leasing, disposition and financing of all types of commercial properties. She has been main counsel to sponsors in numerous projects throughout the Southeast with acquisition and development costs ranging from $25,000,000 to over $100,000,000 and involving multifaceted equity and financing structures. Megan enjoys the challenge of complex transactions which often yield unique issues at various stages of the transactions, and she has a keen ability to efficiently and creatively work towards agreeable resolutions for her clients.

Roundtable Chair: Josh Workman with Tax Credit Marketplace

Josh Workman serves as Chief Executive Officer for Tax Credit Marketplace, LLC. He brings 25 years of experience in corporate risk management, operations, investment and portfolio development, marketing, information technology, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate sales and syndication. He oversees internal operations and collaborates with the leadership team to drive business strategy and company objectives. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer from 2014 to 2022.

Josh serves as manager of multiple South Carolina and Federal Tax Credit Revitalization Funds for TCM and sources projects all over the state for the fund to consider investing in. Josh regularly delivers seminars to attorneys, brokers, investors, lenders, municipalities, and developers on a variety of relevant topics. His presentations include the latest in real estate developments, 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, Tenant-in-Common and other fund structures, historic rehabilitation and revitalization tax credits, renewable energy credits, and other state and local tax incentives commonly utilized in commercial real estate transactions.
