Michelle Melton of the Mobile Airport Authority gave members a glimpse at the current and future projects that are planned for Brookley Field and the Mobile Regional Airport. The MAA has a tremendous amount of open space, as Melton said there is presently around 800,000 square feet of space available. Brookley is seeing the continued trickling arrival of tertiary suppliers and service providers to the Airbus Final Assembly Line, and as the FAL goes from a Rate 4 to a Rate 8 over the coming year, that influx of additional tenants will continue to evolve
