Members and guests at the Dallas Mastermind Group were pleased to welcome Mark Witte, the Manager of Industrial Development and Leasing for the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Airport. In his 12 years as the Manager, Mark has developed 833 acres and a little over 15 million sq.ft. of industrial buildings.

DFW Airport was named the 2019 Airport of the Year per the Air Transportation World. They are 4th in the world for flights; 12th in the world for passenger; there are 182 domestic destinations; 62 international destinations; and global cargo network. Dallas/Fort Worth is right in the middle of the country so you can get anywhere on a plane within about 3 hours, so it’s a great location geographically. DFW Airport has 189,000 daily customers, 1,850 flights per day and 69 million customers in 2018.

Mark stated that DFW Airport is known as the “Economic Engine” of the DFW Region with annual economic impact of $37 billion; 228,000 jobs supported and an annual supported payroll of $12.5 billion. Of the $37 billion approximately 55% is actually produced by their cargo operations. Cargo and logistics matter and continues to benefit both the DFW Airport and North Texas.
