Members and guests at the Dallas REAL Professionals meeting welcomed Laila Assanie, senior business economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Ms. Assanie had an informative presentation which went into great detail on the current Texas Economy. She stated that we are “facing a lot more uncertainty as we move forward. More so than a year ago which is making the outlook a little bit weaker going forward”. Ms. Assanie said that growth this year started out slow but has since gained strength. Some risks to the outlook are “tilted to the downside due to continued supply side constraints, labor markets and tariffs/policies uncertainty”.
