The guest speaker at this month’s Mastermind Group meeting was Cheryl Abbot, Regional Economist at U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Cheryl shared a very informative and interesting presentation, but the main topic of conversation kept reverting back to the difficulty and frustrations meeting attendees continue to have finding people or “talent” to hire for jobs.  John Rhodes with Foresite Group said that they are “trying to hire people for careers and not projects” and it is more difficult than they ever imagined.  Kimber Davison of Griffith Davison said that are in the “same boat”.  She continued by saying that they are still having issues finding good people to hire at the law firm.  She shared that the biggest challenge they have is “keeping talented attorneys here and attracting more”.  Others agreed that they are also having the same issue at their place of work but nobody could come up with a solid solution.
