The Philadelphia Mastermind Group closed out an incredibly healthy 2019 at the offices of EisnerAmper with a robust roundtable discussion among Members and their guests. Paul Flora from the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and Group Member provided a quick economic snapshot of the national market –strong growth trend is now at 10 years and counting. Paul then turned the tables, questioning the attendees about what are the indicators of a potential recession in their specific industries. Per Ed Opall of EisnerAmper, designers are the indicator he looks at; when they slow down, everyone slows down. Justin Bell of Newmark Knight Frank opined that the increasing amounts of sublease space going on the market is what the brokerage industry eyes. Overall, the consensus was things remain strong across the industry and 2020 is looking to be another healthy year.
