Members and guests at the Dallas REAL Professionals meeting welcomed Danny Chavez, Senior Vice President of the McKinney Economic Development Corporation. Danny started in this position in early June, but his enthusiasm for this new role was very apparent throughout his presentation. In the short amount of time that Danny has been in this new role in McKinney, they have already begun an “overhaul in rebranding and re-marketing McKinney”. The new catch phrase will be “Unique McKinney” and their Mission will be to create an environment in which community-oriented businesses can thrive. Their Vision is to make McKinney the most desirable location in North Texas for business by encouraging growth through strategic investments in corporate culture, talent development and capital assets.

Danny’s “unique” perspective of how McKinney will be thriving sooner than later was not only informative but also gave the group many reasons to consider doing more business deals in that part of Collin County.
