Set to become the global gold standard for LED lighting and the delivery of power via Cat5 ethernet cables, PoE promises the benefits of higher, faster power, more efficiency and functions coupled with increased flexibility and safety – all at a significantly lower cost. Already being embraced by major companies like Google, Apple, HP, Fidelity, and Cisco as well as government entities, PoE promises a host of potential benefits for the real estate industries.

Another topic gaining buzz at the June NYC meeting was the effect of new sustainability laws and energy tax codes on the New York real estate market. Of particular concern, the new carbon tax bill that goes into effect in 2024, promising to add more cost for landlords and tenants alike.
