Attendees of this month’s DC Mastermind Meeting enjoyed an in-depth roundtable discussion led by Real Professionals CEO Rick Lackey. He shared some insights about the nationwide angst among real estate professionals as to when a recession may come and whether the tipping point has already passed. With nearly half of the seats filled with guests or first time member attendees, the discussion touched on a broad array of topics, including the state of retail vacancies, the resiliency and varied operators of the city’s restaurant market, potential recent inflection points in different niches, and other topics like the history of Maryland’s water and sewer front foot assessments and the root of investors’ hesitancy on Opportunity Zone projects. Attendees also shared several development opportunities in need of JV partners.
