Member Mark Ashness of CE Group reported Apex intends to grow to 89,000 people by 2030, basically doubling its current population of 48,000. By adding 3,000 people per year, the need for retail and office services only increases. Mark is working on the Sweetwater MUD, a 165-acre, mixed-use development on the south side of U.S. 64 in west Apex and the South Salem St MUD at 540 and South Salem Street in Apex, with 300 – 500K SF commercial.
