OPPORTUNITY IS KNOCKING

NYC member Aaron Lerner, a partner at EisnerAmper, was the featured speaker in the September New York City Mastermind meeting.  Addressing a full house of members and guests, Aaron provided an in-depth summary of the Qualified Opportunity Zones that are part of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.  This nationwide federal program is designed to encourage private investment and spur economic development in low income communities.  Aaron gave a short course in fund qualifications, deferred gains and tax ramifications.
